Plastic or cosmetic surgery is a field of medicine that uses surgical and non-surgical techniques to change the human body, sometimes also its function. It mainly improves the body cosmetically, which also stands out in the name. But sometimes people need plastic surgery to reconstruct some parts of their body, for example breasts.

Every one of us may have problems with our appearance. The problems can start during puberty, in your twenties, seventies or somewhere in between. It can be caused by insecurity from one's childhood, but may stay for years and even decades. This is where plastic surgery can help and solve the troublesome problem that has caused distress for a long time.

Plastic surgery is like sculpting and shaping the body, which offers people many possibilities to make their body look more attractive. Only plastic surgery can for example change the shape of your nose, enlarge your breasts, correct sagging eyelids, make your lips fuller, etc.; and what's more - you can see the results with your own eyes! Plastic surgery can make you look younger for a longer time, seemingly returning what time has inevitably taken. It can also give you something you weren't given by birth, at the same time adding a dose of self-confidence and courage to live just as you want.

People live longer now as they pay more attention to what they eat, exercise and dedicate more and more time to improve and keep their appearance. This is what helps to stay youthful longer than ever before. No one can underestimate the importance of looks in today's society and therefore it is self-evident that people want to look as good and youthful as possible.

Before and After Surgery abroad

As with every other surgery, you should also find out in this case how to prepare for the surgery and how to speed up the recovery. You should acquaint yourself with the procedure and what kind of results you may expect as well. You should not forget that complications might occur after the surgery.

Our consultant or surgeon is more than pleased to inform you about anything concerning the surgery. During the preoperative consultation(s) you should provide the surgeon with your medical history, inform him or her about any illnesses you have (e.g. diabetes, anorexia), low blood pressure, previous surgeries, allergies and medications you are taking, including vitamins. You should definitely inform the surgeon if you for example had a cold before the surgery. The surgery should also not be at the same time with your monthly period. You should definitely smoke less about a month before the surgery, since smoking lessens the amount of oxygen in your blood, which in turn hinders recovery, making the process considerably longer. If necessary, the consultant or surgeon will also give you guidelines on what to eat before the surgery.

You should have painkillers and ice bags at your house; depending on the surgery you may also need support bandages, support stockings, special bras, etc. (the consultant will take care that you have these). You should also arrange transportation after the surgery and consider finding someone to take care of you if the surgery is more extensive.

Postoperative recovery is individual and depends on the surgery. It is usual to feel nausea, weakness, and pain in the incision area and be swollen after the surgery. The swelling should in general go down in a month, but wound healing can take several weeks; scars may be permanent, but are as minimal as possible and discreetly positioned. You should definitely see the surgeon or the representative of the clinic you had your surgery, if you have any complications.

You should avoid strenuous activities, exercising and sex for some time after the surgery.

Forum

The most trustworthy information about a service, procedure or plastic surgery, in this case, is considered to be the things someone, who has gone through the procedure, has said. We have created a forum for this, where people can talk about their experience, express satisfaction and why not encourage others, who have not dared to take that step yet.

What to consider before having plastic surgery

Plastic surgery, like any other surgery, also has risks, because it is a rather complicated procedure. You should also take it into account that the surgery is followed by a recovery period of about a couple of weeks; this of course depends on the surgery. You should consider all the negative aspects before deciding to have surgery, but despite that it is very likely that the final result will outweigh the slightly uncomfortable recovery and we guarantee real satisfaction.

It is absolutely realistic to get the desired nose or breasts with the help of surgery, yet you still must use your common sense and wish for something that is actually feasible. Good looks have an important value from the social aspect, but getting older is inevitable and natural - you just have to keep in mind what is natural and not to cross the border.

You should also think about whether surgery is the best solution to your problem. For example there is no point in seeing a surgeon if you want to lose weight. There are other more proper ways for that, e.g. exercising and a healthy and balanced diet. Liposuction is more for making your body more proportional, not to lose weight, as it is often thought. Proportionality is one of the most important notions in plastic surgery; this is also taken into consideration for example when choosing breast implants - new breasts should look natural on a woman. You should also keep in mind that the results will not last for a lifetime and a need for an additional surgery or correction may arise during time.
